Inattentive rider chastised

This letter was copied to the Mayor of HamiltonDecember 30, 2011Dear Sir,To the inattentive male rider of the white motor scooter heading out of Hamilton on Christmas Eve at 7.20pm, travelling in an easterly direction at the junction of Court and Front Street, as we (three adults and two dogs) using the zebra crossing did not appreciate your lack of consideration and travelling at such high speed (I’m sure in excess of the speed limit in Hamilton) and almost riding into all of us with your bike. But be assured had any of us managed to obtain your bike licence plate # it would be included in this LTE, and I can also assure you we would have contacted Hamilton Police Station with these details and reported you at the time.I would also like to make the following observation. As an avid walker into Hamilton in the evenings, there are a few areas that require additional lighting. The corner of Front & Court and the zebra crossing on Cavendish Road opposite the car park, these two locations in my view are served poorly with little or no lighting.FWB JrPembroke
