Motorcyclist injured in crash
A Hamilton Parish man is currently in stable condition after he was involved in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning.
Around 1.30 a.m. Police attended a reported road accident on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Rocky Lane involving two motorcycles.
It appears that both cycles were travelling east on North Shore Road when the front wheel of the trailing cycle came into contact with the muffler of the cycle in front.
As a result the rider of the trailing cycle, a 21-year-old lost control, mounted a sidewalk and collided with a wall.
He sustained facial injuries and broken ribs and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit as of last night.
The rider of the other cycle, a 19-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
