Tourism department wins six awards
Bermuda Department of Tourism has won six awards for public relations at a prestigious competition in New York.
The Island garnered three silver and three bronze awards in categories such as Feature Placement Print/Consumer Magazine, Feature Placement Print/Consumer Newspaper and Special Event, in the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International dinner recently.
The award was accepted by Bermuda's New York public relations company Lou Hammond and Associates.
Tourism Minister Renee Webb said: "We are thrilled to have our work promoting Bermuda recognised by such an esteemed organisation of travel professionals.
"With more than 1,500 entries from 50 countries and destinations worldwide, it's exciting to be acknowledged for the marketing efforts we've put forth for Bermuda's tourism industry."
