Bermuda Golf Association are to stage two Pro-Am tournaments at Port Royal to support next month's Bermuda Open at the same course.

An entry of $1,000 is being asked for teams of three to take part in the Bermuda Open Pro-Am Booster Tournament on September 26 and the Bermuda Open Pro-Am tournament on October 15, the day before the Open begins.

The teams will be paired with a local pro or top amateur in the first event and with an international pro in the second.

Amateurs will play off 80 percent off their handicap in the four-ball, best-ball competitions.

Entry includes green fees for the two 18-hole events, cart and dinner during both prize presentations.

Additionally, competitors will receive access passes to the Bermuda Open hospitality tent.

Registration for the 2003-04 Bermuda Junior Golf Association season will take place next Saturday (September 20) from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Ocean View GC. Today's regular BJGA play has been postponed until next week.
