BSX inches up on light trading

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index moved marginally yesterday upward on a very slow day of trading.
The only gain was 5 cents on Bank of Butterfield stock, which closed at $44.55, trading just 300 shares. Bermuda Commercial Bank and Belco were the only other shares to trade, but both closed unchanged at $10 and $38 respectively.
The index closed up 1.2 points or 0.04 percent at 3,235.15 on a volume of 2,300 shares worth $36,073.50.
