The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained less than half a point to finish at 3,272.27.

Bank of Butterfield edged up 10 cents to close at $42 on volume of 1,700 shares, while Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. jumped $2 to close at a 52-week high of $14.50 on volume of 1,000.

Belco Holdings Ltd. offset the gains, falling $1 to $41 on volume of 270 shares.

Turnover was relatively light as 1,970 shares worth $97,035.60 traded.
