BSX jumps for the week
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index last week gained 84.399 points to finish at 3,347.81.
Butterfield Bank saw the highest volume of trading with 8,847 shares changing hands while the share price closed as it started the week, at $42.
In the utilities sector, Belco Holdings shareholders bought and sold 1,000 shares while pushing up the price 2.3 percent, or 95 cents, to $42.
Watlington Waterworks also saw trading of 1,000 shares but no price change to the share price of $9. And KeyTech ? the parent company of BTC, Mobility and Logic Communications ? investors moved the share price up ten cents to $10.25 on trading of 100 shares.
Bermuda insurers Argus and BF&M Ltd. also saw some trading of their shares during the week ? with 300 and 500 shares trading, respectively. Argus' shares gained 16 percent, or $4, to close at $29 while BF&M shares moved up 15 percent, or $1.90, to $14.50.
Bermuda Bakery also fared well with shares gaining $5 last week (8.3 percent) on trading of 500 shares, to finish the week at $65.
