The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday closed unchanged at 3,631.50 in light trading.

Belco Holdings Ltd. also closed unchanged at $41 after investors traded 1,000 shares. while telecommunications group KeyTech Ltd. was ucnahnged at $10.75 on volume of 400 shares.

The Index, which reached a record high on Friday, saw 1,400 shares worth $44,950 trade.

The Bermuda Insurance Index, which tracks publicly traded Bermuda insurers, closed up 0.8 percent or 9.13 points at 1,148.75 with most insurers registering gains.

Among Bermuda-based insurers, Everest Re traded up $1.10 to $95.60 while Arch Capital Group was up $1.10 to $46.41. IPC Re gained 48 cents to close at $41.62 and RenaissanceRe was up 43 cents at $45.75.
