Mr. Sidders is ultimately responsible for all equity, derivative and currency trading for the group on a global basis.

Before joining LOM in 1996, Mr. Sidders came to Bermuda from Toronto, where he worked for Altamira Investment Management and First Marathon Securities.

*** REISS MADE PARTNER APP Reiss made partner Ernst & Young Bermuda has announced Bermudian Jonathan Reiss has been made a partner in the accountancy firm. Mr. Reiss joined the practice as a student in 1993.

"Having successfully completed his training with us, he attained his CPA and spent two years in Ernst & Young's New York office as a manager in their insurance group,'' Ernst & Young managing partner Jan Spiering said.

"There he was responsible for both audit and consulting services for international insurance and reinsurance clients.'' He returned to Bermuda and spent the last two years as a senior manager with the insurance focus group where his main responsibilities included audits of several larger international reinsurance clients as well as providing insurance consulting services.

"He is a young Bermudian, who we are proud to say, started his career with us straight from college and has risen quickly through the ranks.'' *** TOASTING EXAM SUCCESS BUC Toasting exam success Two financial professionals sponsored by the BSX have passed official dealers exams which have been offered for the first time in Bermuda.

Gavin Davis of the LOM Group and Dave Earls of Voyager both sat and passed their Financial Services National Association of Securities Dealer Series 7 Exams.

Series 7 is a mandatory industry qualification for nay one planning to become a US market broker or dealer.

*** LATTAL IN ACE MOVE APP Lattal in ACE move ACE Bermuda has appointed Frank Lattal to the position of Senior Vice President, Claims and Claims Counsel. Mr. Lattal will replace Edward Connolly who retired as head of ACE Bermuda's Claims Department in June.

Mr. Lattal will manage ACE Bermuda's claims operation as well as all legal functions of the claims department, including coverage analysis, litigation and arbitrations.
