The female complainant said the items were kept in two jewellery boxes and included three gold ladies watches, nine gold bracelets, a wedding band, two mens' rings and several gold tie clips.

Police are requesting that members of the public who are approached by persons with jewellery to sell, contact their respective Police divisions immediately or call Crimestoppers hotline.

Another residence on Happy Valley Road was targeted between 9 and 10.30 a.m.

The male complainant said the culprit gained entry through an unsecured door and removed a quantity of jewellery, including two wedding rings and a watch.

Police were able to obtain a description of the suspect, and active inquiries are underway.
