Needing only one game, Graham Williams had a hard-fought 53-45 win over S.A.

Meanwhile, the second round matches in the Four Star Pizza Open featured some surprising results as well as a number of high breaks.

Nationals' young rookie Brian Walker made the highest break of the season (55) as he and Stephen Pantry defeated Steve Dunleavy and Andy Wright 2-1 to advance to the quarter-finals.

Sandys Sports Club's wily veteran Lawrence DeSilva had a 44-break as he and Roger (Sticks) Henderson downed Nick Mansell and Kyle Thompson.

Other doubles teams making it into the quarter-finals were Steve Bremar/Reuben Burchall, Phil Lambert/Brian Haxton, Zane and David DeSilva, Tyler Moniz/Bill Wotton, Tony DeSilva/Greg Falzone and Robert Gaglio/Terry Southern. In a quarter-final match played earlier, Moniz and Wotton knocked out DeSilva and Falzone.

Falzone advanced to the singles quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Hilgrove Iris which featured a 38-break. Other quarter-finalists include the first and second seeds, Steve Dunleavy and Stephen Roberts, as well as Steve Bremar, Bill Wotton, Dennis Coyle, Brian Haxton and Zane DeSilva.
