The occupants discovered the missing items when they returned home shortly after 6 p.m.

The stolen items include a small quantity of cash, earrings, bracelets and charms.

VISITORS ROBBED CRM Visitors robbed Visitors to the Island yesterday reported the theft of an engagement ring from the Hamiltonian Hotel on Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke.

The complainant, a 26-year-old from Rhode Island, said the family had not noticed disturbances in their room until the ring was discovered missing.

The ring is described as a one-and-a-half carat diamond solitaire in a plain setting with a plain slim band.

RENT WAS IN WALLET CRM Rent was in wallet A 34-year-old Warwick man reported having his rent money stolen sometime on Thursday.

The man said he put the money in his wallet which he secured in his apartment and left for work.

When he returned at the end of the day he discovered the money was missing and upon further investigation he realised that a thief had broken in.

MAN WNATED FOOD CRM Man wanted food A would-be thief was reported to Police when he tried to steal food from the Harbour Light (Salvation Army) Building early on Wednesday morning.

A resident at the facility apparently heard a noise in the kitchen and decided to investigate.

The suspect was found standing in front of the refrigerator and said that he wanted some food.

A slight scuffle took place and the resident ended up escorting the suspect outside where a brown paper bag containing four boxes of cereal was recovered.

MOTOR GOES MISSING CRM Motor goes missing Police are investigating a theft earlier this week of a 90-horsepower light and dark blue outboard motor.

A 41-year-old Pembroke man told officers he and a group were working on an unfinished boat in the parking lot of the Bakery Lane workshop when they decided to finish work for the day.

The boat was left outside instead of being secured inside the property's fence. When the man returned on Thursday morning he discovered the motor missing. Investigations are continuing.

ROBBERY INVESTIGATED CRM Robbery investigated A 27-year-old man from North Carolina this week reported the theft of his wallet from his Elbow Beach hotel room.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the man went to bed around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, leaving his brown leather bi-fold wallet on the desk in the room.

Four hours later when he was getting dressed he noticed the wallet, which contained US currency, was missing.

VICTIM STABBED CRM Victim was stabbed The victim of a lunch-time attack on Wednesday was stabbed it was revealed.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said that around 12.30 p.m. officers were called to a North Street apartment in Pembroke to find the complainant, a 44-year-old Pembroke man, bleeding profusely.

The assault, which resulted in wounds to the man's face, head and neck, apparently arose from a domestic dispute.

The former boyfriend of a friend of the complainant, approached him and hit him on the head with a flower pot.

As a result, the victim fell to the ground and was stabbed by the man with a knife.

Police enquiries are continuing.
