This past weekend saw the young Red Devils rout Paget by nine goals in a Mini-Minor A match.

Meanwhile their closest challengers, Devonshire Colts, kept pace with a 7-2 win over Somerset as Jahkee Smith struck a hat-trick and was aided by goals from J.Butterfield, G.Trott, J.Blakeney and Jason Dill.

Third-placed Dandy Town received a jolt when Boulevard Reds managed a 3-2 upset.

Remaining matches saw PHC down BAA Greens 6-1 and Hamilton Parish beat Wolves 3-0.

B Division play had Hotels record the day's biggest win when they trounced BAA Whites 10-1.

A.Rego and M.Durrant led the charge for Hotels, scoring four and three goals respectively. Single tallies were registered by J.Lowe, J.Furbert and R.Butterfield.

North Village won their eighth in a row, defeating Devonshire Colts Whites, but St. George's stayed on their heels two points back on account of a 7-0 blasting of PHC.

Other games had Wolves shut out Boulevard 6-0, Somerset Blues ease past North Village Kids 3-1, Southampton beat Dandy Town 4-2 and Somerset Eagles scrape by St. David's 3-2.

Minor play continues to be close with North Village holding on to a two-point lead over Devonshire Colts who have played two games less.

Village pummelled Paget 4-1 on Saturday just as Devonshire Colts made the trek west where they shrugged off the challenge of Somerset 4-2.

Meanwhile, PHC had an easy time beating BAA 6-1 and Boulevard were 4-2 victors against Dandy Town.

Another top-of-the-table clash took place at the west end on Saturday with Devonshire Colts and Somerset battling to a 1-1 draw that kept the former on top of the Bantam Division standings by a slim three-point margin.

Colts took the lead through Devaughn Simmons only to have Marco Perinchief equalise for Somerset in the dying stages.

The only other match witnessed North Village run riot on Southampton for a 5-1 win.

League play resumes on January 9 after the Christmas break.
