Junior bike challengeJunior triathlete Jazmine Outerbridge will challenge motorcycle racer Bruce DeGrilla tomorrow in a pedal bike race to promote the upcoming Capital G Iron Kids triathlon.The challenge has been scheduled during the interval at the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club's National Championship Series at the Bermuda Motor sport Park in Southside, St. David's.

Junior bike challenge

Junior triathlete Jazmine Outerbridge will challenge motorcycle racer Bruce DeGrilla tomorrow in a pedal bike race to promote the upcoming Capital G Iron Kids triathlon.

The challenge has been scheduled during the interval at the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club's National Championship Series at the Bermuda Motor sport Park in Southside, St. David's.

Outerbride, 14, is the reigning 2008 Female Iron Kid. She has competed in the Capital G event since 2003. DeGrilla Jr, 13, is a member of the Team Tuned Motorcycle Racing Team, riding in the BRMC GP125 class. He's been competing for four years.

Racing begins at 2 p.m. tomorrow with the challenge scheduled for 3.30 p.m.

Bridge team in final

Bermuda's bridge team defeated Trinidad and Tobago 71-55 to advance to the finals of the CACBF Zonal Championships currently being held in Guadeloupe.

The squad of Alan Douglas, Sven Pride, David Cordon, John Burville, Bill Tucker and Kevin Comeau won both semi-final sessions against the defending champions to earn a spot in the final where they are currently playing a strong team from the host country in a four-session match over two days.

Guaadeloupe enjoyed an 18 IMP carry-over into the final due to their resounding win over Bermuda in the round-robin stage.
