Upheaval in TCI –– in tomorrow's–rg magazine
Private jets, orgies and massive spending sprees Matthew Taylor has investigated the political upheaval in Bermuda's fellow dependent territory, the Turks and Caicos Islands, for rg magazine.
His not-to-be-missed report explores the series of events which led to a British Commission of Inquiry and the downfall of the islands' colourful and extravagant leader Michael Misick.
His story appears in the June issue of the magazine, which publishes tomorrow.
Underwater photography is the secret behind this year's Summer Fashion spread. Photographer Chris Burville has made his name with natural history photography, and some of his most spectacular pictures have been taken underwater. For this assignment, he turned his attention to fashion.
His photography features the work of the designer Amethyst, whose flowing, island-inspired pieces lent themselves to this photographic technique.
The designer's vibrant crepe chiffon clothing are each works of art they were hand-painted by a St. Thomas-based artist.
Chris Burville is also one of the featured photographers in rg magazine's year-long series of photography inspired by a theme.
For this issue Mr. Burville, along with Graeme Outerbridge and Ian Macdonald-Smith, contributed works from their extensive collections and taken especially for this section, entitled 'Wind'.
Dramatic moments during hurricanes and storms are among the highlights and all have been captured by these top-rated lensmen. We also introduce a new annual section entitled 'Bermuda Living' in this issue, where top design of both homes as well as retail environments is featured.
In this edition we showcase a home overlooking Harrington Sound which was transformed into something exceptional, and Port O' Call, where the major redesign created a warm and energised interior.
