Tourism Minister Ewart Brown said ticket sales were disappearing fast, and warned people not to wait until the last minute. "As the festival draws nearer, we have been receiving positive feedback from overseas that considerable interest continues to be generated with regard to the Bermuda Music Festival. It is one of Bermuda's foremost events and we are very encouraged about the numbers."

The October 6-9 festival will be held at the Royal Naval Dockyard. Dr. Brown said crews were already working day and night to erect the stages and the special Trophy Suites.

The Trophy Suites are air-conditioned rooms which can accommodate 50 people and allow the attendees a birds-eye-view of the concert. The Trophy Suites cost $15,000 and there is one available for the Thursday concert and Friday concert.

This year the festival will also be giving back to the community with the proceeds from 50 tickets in the premium reserved seating area going to two charities.

The tickets sell at $150 and the proceeds will go to Focus Counselling Services and the Louisiana Baptist Convention Katrina Relief Fund. Tickets can be purchased at Sound Stage in the Washington Mall, Bermuda Clayworks in Dockyard and online at www.Bermudamusicfestival.com.
