Devonshire Cougars slumped to a heavy defeat in their CFU Caribbean Club Championship qualifyer against Surinam's Leo Victor in St.Vincent last night.

Cougars' goalscorers were Domico Coddington and skipper Kwame Steede.

Vance Brown, Cougars executive, said the Premier Divison defending champions' top players underperformed.

"I wouldn't say they were considerably better than us," said Brown.

"It's just our big players didn't really show up.

"It's now going to be very difficult for us to qualify now."

Cougars, who drew their opening game against host side Avenues United 2-2 on Friday, take on Trinidad champions Joe Public in their final match tomorrow.
