The Shell Youth Soccer League kicks off tomorrow, and coaches are asked to take close note of several rule changes from last season.
The first is the new back-pass rule as directed by FIFA, the world soccer governing body.
Also, no player is allowed to play in more than one match on the same day -- a Mini-Minor cannot play in his division and in the Minor division or a Minor in the Bantams. However, any player over 16 years of age and registered as a Junior or Bantam can play in the senior divisions.
All results must be called in by the coaches, a $20 fine will result if this is not carried out. The number to call is 291-0690.
The Mini-Minor `A' division will now play 11-a-side on full sized pitches, while `B' division continue to play with nine men on smaller fields.
All Mini-Minor `A' division games commence at 9 a.m., `B' division at 10 a.m.
and 11.15 a.m. Minors kick off at 10.15 a.m. while Bantams start at 11.30 a.m.
Premier (Junior) division matches take place on Sundays at 1 p.m.
The Youth Athletic Organisation in conjunction with the Bermuda Youth Sports Programme kicked off their 1992 season on Saturday with a full slate of games at the Naval Air Station and the NAS Annex.
Results Senior League: Strikers d Spinners 10-0; Sparks d Astros 7-0; Stingers and Colts drew 3-3.
Junior League: Stars d Stingers 1-0; Strikers d Chiefs 1-0; Blast d Gunners 4-1; Express d Pintos 5-1; Spurs d Rovers 1-0.

DARTS DRT In some exciting darts action on Monday night Nationals and BAA I each produced superior performances to beat off their respective opponents.
The former defeated RAA 4-3 behind an excellent showing by Charles Roberts, who recorded five tons on the night.
BAA I had an even easier time against Mariners I, coming away 5-2 victors with Jimmy Pratt displaying good early season form, scoring five tons in a perfect 180 game.
In another First Division match St. George's DSC blanked BAA II 7-0.
Meanwhile, Vasco II slammed SPBC 5-2 in Second Division play.
Vasco's Third Division team were also successful, downing Hamilton Parish 6-1.
Showbizz scraped by Swizzle Inn 4-3 and Queens held off BPSA.
Finaly it was Vasco IV earning a 4-3 triumph against Fourth Division newcomers Strike Zone, BAA III went down 5-2 to Robin Hood II and Robin Hood III beat Esso III 4-3.
St. George's PRC and RAA II have dropped out of the league and teams scheduled to play them will have byes.
BOWLING BOW Lucky Strikes defeated Classy Ladies 15-5 in the latest action of the Ladies Classic Bowling League. Lucky Strikes had the night's high team series of 2,055 and second high game of 704 behind Pat Ming-Albuoy's 543 series.
Classy Ladies rolled the third high team series and game of 1,926 and 699 respectively with June Pitt contributing the second high series of 563.
Strike Zone moved into first place with their 16-4 victory over Blue Thunder.
The Zone had the team high game of 737 and second high series of 1,990. Traci Francis bowled the high series of 568 and high game of 221. Team-mate Kathy Christopher rolled a 542 series.
In the other match, Pacesetters beat BG's 15-5 with Betty Lespere turning in a 523 series in a losing cause.

SOFTBALL SOF The Summer League Fast/Slowpitch prize presentation, barbecue and dance will be held on Friday, October 16, starting at 8 p.m. at the BPSA Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 per person and clubs are asked to call the secretary to give the number of persons attending. No tickets will be sold at the door.
TARGET SHOOTING SHO Eugene Robinson was top of the shots at the Prospect Range on Wednesday totalling 194 out of 200. James Rego and Anthony Rabain hit two less targets and had to settle for runners-up status.
Also, Ross Roberts was announced as shooter of the month for September.
