Bermuda College gets prestigious accreditation
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18: Bermuda College has been awarded accreditation status by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges — the same accrediting agency that validates such prestigious Ivy League institutions as Yale University, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Bermuda College President, Duranda Greene said: "Accreditation provides proof of the quality education and instruction available at Bermuda College, providing Bermuda's students with the assurance that their transfer credits will be more readily accepted at four-year overseas institutions.
“It also satisfies our key constituents that Bermuda College meets the eleven rigorous standards, covering curriculum and administrative performance; human and financial resources; and its commitment to student success that are common to other higher education institutions in the United States and around the world."
The College is the first institution to be honoured in such a way in the Caribbean and Latin American regions, and only the seventh international institution to be accredited by NEASC.
