School holds science fair
Port Royal Primary School will be holding its science fair today and has invited the public to visit the school and support students.
The purpose of the fair is to encourage students to use the scientific process to explore their environment.
Exhibits entered in the fair are from all levels and each class has entered a class exhibit which focuses on magnets, matter, volcanoes, water cycles, Bermuda habitats, shells, fossils, the effects of the sun on our skins and Bermuda water.
In addition students in years three to six were invited to submit individual projects which answer the following question: Does magnetism affect plant growth and how do seeds grow?
Bermudian child psychologist and former chemistry teacher, Dr. Charlotte Hood will visit the school to observe the fair.
