A mass meeting of civil servants will discuss their latest pay offer on Thursday.

Government said some services will be affected but buses and ferries will not be interrupted.

The meeting at 3.30 p.m. will be held at Heritage Hall in the New Testament Church of God on Union Street.

Bermuda Public Services Union general secretary Ed Ball would not be drawn on how much Government had offered for the deal covering October 2008 to October 2011.

But he said: "I think in these economic times we all have to do our best to ensure the economy keeps functioning and people remain in employment."
