Bermuda Music and Dramatic Society are playing host to six playwrights who began writing six ten minute plays at 8 p.m. last night. From 8 a.m. this morning directors, producers and actors have been rehearsing the plays. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. tonight and tickets $10 are available from BMDS. Money raised will go to purchase a smoke machine.

Annual Round the Island Race

The race begins at 12 noon at Ferry Reach, in St. George's. The race includes power boats and jet skis. Free to the public.

Caisey Family Productions Concert: 'A Spiritual Inspiration' (music and dance), City Hall Theatre, 4 p.m. Proceeds to Bermuda Autism Society. Tickets ($35) available at Kit 'n' Kaboodle and People's Pharmacy.

Waiting for Godot: The Samuel Beckett play will be performed at the Rock Island Coffee Shop, on Reid Street, in Hamilton. Other dates: August 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 24, and 26. Tickets are $10 and are available at Rock Island Coffee Shop and Bermuda Bookstore, on Queen Street, Hamilton.
