Plans to build an 80 foot floating dock in Hamilton have been scrapped. Pearman Watlington had submitted plans to the Department of Planning for the dock to be built at its marine fuelling station off Pitts Bay Road.
But the company has now decided to replace the floating dock with a series of pontoons.
Pearman Watlington?s dockmaster Mike Shaw said: ?When smaller boats attempted to fuel on the harbour side of the dock they would get thrown around a lot because the ferry waves.?
