when the local Indian community presents an evening of classical and folk dances.

Ms Srinivasan Bhagyashree, 24, who began her dancing career at the age of five and was moulded by one of the most famous teachers at Kerala Kalamandalan in Southern India, is on the Island and will perform alongside local talent at the show scheduled for September 8.

Indian food will be available, and music will be provided by the Dunbarton School of Music.

Ms Bhagyashree is an accomplished dancer who owns a dance school with 25 students. She has travelled widely in Europe, the United States and Canada.

Tickets -- $20 for adults and $10 for children -- can be purchased at the House of India, the Music Box and the Dunbarton School of Music.
