A computer glitch on Wednesday at the Bermuda Stock Exchange falsely pushed up The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index to record highs, the organisation said yesterday.
In fact the index only rose 18 points to 2,828.94, still shy of the 2,855 attained in 2002 at the height of Bank of Bermuda listing frenzy.
There was no change on the Bermuda Stock Exchange index yesterday, with only Bank of Butterfield shares changing hands at $40 - 14,584 shares worth $583,405.50 were traded.
