A new managing director is to oversee both the Fairmont Southampton and the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.George Terpilowski takes the helm for Fairmont Bermuda after 30 years’ hospitality experience, most recently as general manager of the Fairmont Washington DC.The appointment was announced yesterday by Paul Tormey, regional vice president for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts’ Northeast US and Bermuda division.Mr Terpilowski has also managed Richmond, Virginia’s Jefferson Hotel, The Clift in San Francisco, Union Station Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, Florida.He will take over the Bermuda position from Norman Mastalir.Useful website: www.fairmont.com.
