Three injured in collision
A two car collision which took place during the weekend left both drivers and a passenger with minor injuries as well as extensive damage to their vehicles.
The accident happened just before 2.10 p.m. on Saturday, on South Road in Paget near the junction with Southcote Road, shortly before Police attended the scene.
It appears that one car was travelling east on South Road and the other car was travelling in the opposite direction when the eastbound vehicle lost control while attempting to negotiate a left hand bend. As a result, the cars collided, causing extensive front end damage to the cars. The driver of the eastbound car, a 24-year-old Devonshire man, sustained facial injuries and abrasions to his arms.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 57-year-old St. George's man, complained of chest pain, while his passenger sustained a fractured foot.
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene and used specialised equipment to remove the driver of the eastbound car. Both vehicles were subsequently impounded by Police, who are investigating the incident.
