Woman injured in dog attack

A 59-year-old Canadian resident was attacked and bitten by a dog on Tuesday morning.According to the police, the lady, who lives in Pembroke, was set upon by a “big black dog” at Admiralty House park between 10am and 10 30am.She believes the creature, which was with a man but not on a leash, may have been a pit-bull. The man pulled the dog off of the woman and walked away. The woman was released from hospital after treatment. The spokesman said: “The suspect is described as a tall black man believed to be in his 30s with a big black dog which may have been a pit-bull. The Bermuda Police Service would like to commend the woman who came to the assistance of the victim in this matter.”
