Thomas shoots Vasco past BAA
Vasco continued with their free-scoring ways as they pummelled BAA 3-0, dropping them from the unbeaten ranks, on goals by Derek Thomas (two) and Scott Morton.
BAA were always up against it in this encounter at St. John's and Thomas announced his intentions in notching both of his tallies in the first half.
Morton finished of the scoring after the break.
Som. Eagles 1, Dev. Cougars 2 The sending-off of Somerset Eagles' player/coach Stevie Riley midway through the second half signalled the end for his side as they could not hold off the charge of a determined Devonshire Cougars outfit at White Hill field.
Jerome Richardson had given the home side a one-goal advantage in the first half, which they carried through to the second until Carlos Smith equalised 20 minutes after the restart.
But once Riley was sent away for an early shower, Eagles succumbed under tremendous pressure from their opponents and a move involving Dwayne Bean and Dale Russell resulted in the winning goal by teenager Delmere Place.
Prospect 1, Southampton 2 Prospect saw the two points slip away at Police field when relegated Southampton Rangers hit back with goals in the 68th and 84th minutes.
Prospect, the better team for long periods, led 1-0 at the half on a goal from Don DeSilva following a cross from Peter Philpott in the 24th minute.
Just before the half, Anthony Mouchette of Prospect smashed a shot against the crossbar with Bernard Woods beaten. Rangers' fightback began with Donald Hall's equaliser before Ascento Russell notched the winner.
Wolves 1, Social Club 3 Two second-half goals by Rembert Hill gave Social Club a deserved win over Wolves at Devonshire Rec.
Wolves took the lead in the 10th minute through Marlon Lindsay but that lead lasted only two minutes before Social Club equalised through Troy Darrell.
Social Club created the best chances in the second half and were rewarded with the go-ahead goal in the 54th minute when Hill scored from a scramble in the six-yard box. Hill put the game out of Wolves' reach with a second goal in the 71st minute.
Port Royal 4, Paget 2 Goals in the second half by Michael Bean (penalty), Mark DeMoura, Conard Dill and John Frias brought Port Royal from 1-0 down at the half. Shawn Stovell and Anthony Stovell scored for Paget.
