Bermudians can be true jet-setters flying to do their shopping for the day or to attend a business meeting thanks to a new Continental Airlines flight which can put them in New York City by 9 a.m. and have them home by 11 p.m.

Continental Airlines announced yesterday that they will begin a third daily nonstop service from Bermuda to the one of the most popular US destinations: Newark, New Jersey.

The new Continental flight will officially begin service tomorrow and seats 12 first class passengers as well as 112 coach passengers.

It is scheduled to depart from Bermuda International Airport at 6.45 a.m., and arrive at Newark Airport at 8.15 a.m.

The flight will arrive back on the Island at 10.20 p.m. thus giving travellers the entire day in the Big Apple to spend in either areas of business or pleasure.

Frank Galan, senior director for the Caribbean said: ?This flight will add convenience to our business travellers to New York, where they can fly to business meetings in the New York area and be back in Bermuda the same day.?
