Lynn Wade is ordinarily a busy woman, but not so much as to inhibit her from being the Provincial Grand Master of the Hamilton District of the independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOFMU) in Bermuda. Her regular job is in the Civil Service, being executive secretary to the island's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Cann.

She's on the management committee of Somerset Cricket Club and is treasurer of the Loyal Irresistible Lodge, No. 6587, Somerset District of the MU. Last year Sis. Lynn was head of the Loyal Mayflower Lodge, No. 9387 in Hamilton. Now she's in her third quarter as head of the Hamilton District which has a record of more than 125 years of unbroken service.

Our photo shows Sis. Lynn, third from left, being applauded as she hosted a repast for various other Friendly Societies that attended their annual Thanksgiving Service at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hamilton.

Preacher at the service was associate pastor of the church, Rev. Eugene Thompson. He's a native of Omaha, Nebraska, on the right, with his wife of four years, the former Deborah Sweeting of Somerset. On the left are Rev. and Mrs. Rodney Grimes. He is associate pastor of Heard Chapel AME Church. The repast was in the lodge room of the Loyal Flower of Day Lodge in Hamilton.
