A 37-year-old man who was caught driving a water truck while impaired appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Antrone Simons, of Deepdale Road, Pembroke, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired.
Crown counsel Cindy Clarke told the court that Simons had an accident and hit a tree near Warwick Academy School at 1.55 p.m. on June 20. Police noted that when they arrived he had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. When tested, Simons' blood alcohol level was found to be 281 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
