Courier to offer East End service
St. George's residents will be able to get documents delivered overnight to North America and Europe without leaving their parish thanks to DHL Express. The courier company will open a new drop-off centre in the Old Town tomorrow, located in Eve's Cycle Shop on Water Street.
"We are delighted to be able to offer this service in partnership with Mrs Denise Trew who has helped us to make this possible via her premises," said Norman Cotterill, Country Manager for DHL in Bermuda.
"We hope that our customers in St. George's will find the convenience of having this next day delivery service helpful, and we that they will take full advantage of using the new facility as well as our centre at the Bermuda International Airport."
Mr Cotterill added that DHL is now the biggest courier company in the world and has had a presence in Bermuda for 20 years. He said the company has recently been building market share in the US and: "given Bermuda's proximity to that market I believe we can expect good new developments for our customers here in the future."
