Breaking News - Bermuda Under 19 World Cup squad chosen

Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) have announced a 16-member Under 19 national squad that will represent the Island at next month's Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia.

And there were few, if any, surprises in the squad, containing arguably the best up and coming talent the Island has to offer.

Fifteen of the 16 players chosen will depart for pre-World Cup training in India at the end of the month before heading off to Malaysia, with one alternate to remain on the island on standby.

St.George’s all rounder Rodney Trott will lead the team, while 2007 World Cup star Malachi Jones has been appointed vice- captain.

Also in the squad is St.David's fast bowler Stefan Kelly who was also a member of the Island's senior national team that competed at last year's World Cup in the West Indies.

Bermuda’s Under 19s stepped up their World Cup preparations last month in Trinidad and Tobago, with team members undergoing intense physcal and mental preparations under the watchful eyes of team management at the Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Academy.
