Teen on the road to recovery

An 18 year old who broke his neck in a beach accident is recovering over the Cup Match weekend at a specialist hospital in Atlanta.

Matthew Raynor, was severely injured after diving into shallow water at Horseshoe Bay two weeks ago.

Matthew's father, Reginald Raynor, told that Matthew is moving in a wheelchair. Doctors are hoping the swelling on his spinal column will go down.

Pamela Fubler, Mr. Raynor's fianc?e will be leaving the Island to travel to Atlanta this weekend to support Matthew.

Mr. Raynor, who runs Raynor's Garage and Shell Service Station on Middle Road, is returning to the Island today. Family members are making arrangements to travel back and forth between Atlanta and Bermuda.

Matthew ? described as an outgoing young boxer and May 24 marathon runner - works with his father at his business. He was running with his brother on the beach when he jumped into the water to cool off.
