Fresh vegetables will once again be available to the Bermuda public as the popular Farmers Market is set to re-open.

The market will open Saturday, December 6, weather-permitting, for its third season at the Bull's Head Car Park.

It is still early in the growing season but organiser Frances Eddy said the public can expect a healthy range of vegetables, vegetable and flower seedlings, potted plants, poinsettias and fish.

New crafts, bluebird boxes, homebaked products, hot coffee and composted manure for gardeners will also be available.

Performances are planned for the opening day by Fado singer Stephanie Pacheco and folk artists Dawn Zuill and Michaels Keats starting at 9.30 a.m.

Pony rides for children will again be available.

The Minister of the Environment Neletha Butterfield and the Mayor of Hamilton will be making an informal visit to meet vendors at 10 a.m.

Hours of operation will continue to be 8 a.m. to noon and the market will run until June.

Parking is free and plentiful.

The public is asked not to park in the vendors' parking bays.
