St. Brendan's Hospital named their employees of the year at the annual "Spring Splash" event on May 9.
Employees were awarded in three categories. Nurse of the Year was awared to Philip James, a learning disabilities nurse, and the Nurses Aid award went to Peta Evans, who works on the Somers Ward. Finally, the People's Choice award went to Gilbert Williams, a gardener at the hospital grounds.
"We truly appreciate the work that each member of staff does here at St. Brendan's," said St. Brendan's director Patrice Dill. "By having the staff vote for the awards it encourages us to appreciate our colleagues. And the awards ceremony is a great opportunity for us to get together and celebrate.
"We really had a lot of fun."
