Burglars take–school computer
Burglars stole a computer from a primary school over the weekend.
The Dell computer with a 15-inch monitor went missing from a classroom at the Dalton E. Tucker Primary School (formerly Southampton Glebe) between 4.15 p.m on Friday and Monday morning.
In a separate incident, a burglar targeted an apartment in New Park Lane, Pembroke on Monday between 12.30pm and 3.30 p.m. The culprit stole a white iPod, a cellular phone and 5 DVDs. The apartment was empty at the time.
Woman arrested
A woman was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after she lost control of her vehicle and hit a wall at 2.45 a.m on Sunday.
Her jeep was the only vehicle involved in the incident at the junction of Middle Road and Corkscrew Hill in Devonshire.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Pembroke, sustained a cut to her left arm and abrasions to her hands and feet. The jeep was extensively damaged.
Police probe burglary
Police are investigating a reported burglary on Saturday at a Brunswick Street business at 10.15 p.m. The complainants told officers on arrival sometime between 6.30 p.m. on Friday, January 4 and 9.45 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, a culprit gained access to the building while they were overseas stealing a quantity of electronic equipment.
Collisions mount up
Over the weekend, one person was arrested on the suspicion of impaired driving and five reported burglaries.
There were 14 damage-only road traffic collisions, seven road traffic collisions resulting in injury and eight vehicles stolen.
