Youth in intensive care after accident

Collision: A biker was rushed to hospital after hitting a bus in Marsh Folly Lane yesterday.

A youth is in intensive care in stable condition with serious head injuries after being hit by a bus on Marsh Folly Road yesterday. Jarreau Brown Rogers was exiting the road leading to St. John's Church at around 1.40 p.m. when he hit the bus travelling east.

Park Ranger Michael Preece was in his truck behind the biker and witnessed the mishap. He said Mr. Rogers was in a terrible state after the accident and was bleeding from behind his ear and from his nose. "He looked lifeless but he had a pulse. I made sure his air passage was not blocked and he could breath. He was face down in the road."

Mr. Preece called 911 on his mobile phone and told them which way to come to avoid the traffic build up. He said the ambulance quickly came and rushed the 18-year-old youth to hospital.
