Joan Ascento, 32, of Town Hill Road, pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court.

Prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said Ascento collided with a horse-drawn carriage on June 16 in Hamilton Parish. He said the carriage then hit another one in front of it.

"One of the horses broke free and ran off down the street,'' Sgt. Dale said.

"It was later found, injured, on Jubilee Road in Devonshire.'' "When Ascento was asked to step out of the car, Police noticed she was a little unsteady on her feet,'' he said.

Ascento had 185 millilitres of alcohol in 100 milligrams of blood.

It recently held a primary schools Cup Match quiz for primary six students at East End Primary, St. George's Preparatory and the St. David's Primary. The youngsters had to answer 12 questions concerning Cup Match and St. George's Cup Match cricketers. The winners received certificates of participation and prizes.

Commenting on the club's initiative to reach out to the community, president Mr. Mansfield Smith said: "We are trying to keep the community spirit of Cup Match alive.

"The primary schools quiz is designed to tie into the St. George's Activity Committee's Breakfast on the Square, which will feature our Cup Match team on the Sunday before the match.'' The winners of the contest will also receive free tickets to the breakfast.

Prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said on the evening of May 31 Costa was stopped outside the Modern Mart in Paget because he was seen "swerving from left to right''.

"When Police asked him if he had been drinking alcohol, he said he had some beer but was not drunk,'' Sgt. Dale said.

The lowest reading from a breath analysis was 234 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Costa was taken off the road for a year.

BIKE PARTS STOLEN CRM Bike parts stolen Police are investigating four stealing reports they received earlier this week.

One of the incidents involved stolen cycle parts found on a motorcycle driven by a 32-year-old Sandys Parish woman.

Police discovered the stolen parts when they stopped the woman on Cricket Lane, Sandys during routine checks.

The woman was arrested and further inquiries led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Sandys man.

STEREO TAKEN CRM Stereo taken A 25-year-old Paget woman reported that a stereo unit was stolen from her apartment.

The thief cause an undisclosed amount of damage to the apartment's door and window during the break-in which occurred over the past weekend.
