CB Golf is operated by long time Belmont professional, Mr. Cornell Bean, and realtor and amateur golfer Mr. Barry DeCouto. They will be running the Pro shop, the upstairs bar, a new outdoor snack bar and the caddy shop, while assisting the Belmont Hotel in booking tee times for golfers.

CB Golf and the Belmont will spend the $300,000 over the next six months in renovations, much of it to the pro shop. The hotel just recently spent $250,000 on a new fleet of golf carts.

In a joint statement, the partners said: "Our main objective is to provide a first class facility with a warm atmosphere that will attract hotel guests, members and patrons.

"We are both deeply committed to the Belmont Club and look forward to enhancing its considerable potential.'' CB Golf Company plans to employ 12 people, having previously employed six people. It will include staffing of the bar with five televisions, a music system, dart boards and a pool table.

Executive director and general manager of Forte Hotels Bermuda Ltd., Mr.

William Griffith, said: "The Belmont is particularly pleased that our own golf professional Cornell Bean and club stalwart Barry DeCouto have created this new company and successfully negotiated this first of a kind contract.'' Mr. Cornell Bean.
