Swifts dominated the first-half of this game as Melissa Durrant controlled the midfield and Fiona Lee was unlucky not to put them ahead as she made a great run through the Bluebirds' defence, only to be denied by the 'keeper.
Swifts continued to pressure their opponents, winning a series of penalty corners, and were finally rewarded when Lee pushed the ball over the line after an initial shot by Erica Frith.
Swifts' second goal came from a breakaway as Lorraine Scull outpaced the defence and then beat the Bluebirds' 'keeper.

Bluebirds got the crucial break in the second half when Ellen Charnley put the ball away from a fine cross by Melissa Milano.
Canaries A 4 Swallows A 1 Canaries got off the mark when Helen Dennis scored from a short corner in what proved to be the only goal of the first half.
Swallows responded early in the second half with an equaliser by Jenny Burrell, but then Canaries took control.
Lisa DeSilva put them ahead following another short corner routine and Dennis made it 3-1 via the same route. Maryellen Jackson rounded the scoring off for Canaries following a solo run.
Canaries B 2 Swallows B 1 A fired-up Canaries were rewarded for their determination with an early goal by newcomer, Sophie Kerr.
Swallows settled down after this and quickly hit back with an equaliser, Sandy Cram passing to Jenny Burrell who fired home from the top of the circle.
Canaries made the breakthrough late in the second half, Joanna Stappf scoring what turned out to be the winner from a scramble in front of goal.

Men's League Police 0 Panthers 2 This was the first of two games that these teams would play on the day.
Panthers launched attack after attack on the Police defence and were rewarded when Justin Freisenbruch blasted past the 'keeper. Lewis celebrated his return with a second goal after another great attacking move.
Police 4 Panthers 1 It was a different story in the second game as Police took the game to Panthers. The breakthrough came midway through the first half as Steve Nurse found the back of the net.
Panthers drew level in the second half when Justin Freisenbruch converted a penalty stroke, but play soon ran Police's way again as Craig Burt, Winston Thomas and Carl Seale all scored to put the game beyond Panthers' reach.
Chameleons 3 Rebels 1 Chameleons found themselves 2-0 up at the end of the first half as Rebels missed various opportunities, including a penalty flick.
The second half saw Chameleons add one more goal but Rebels managed a consolation through Daniel Stovell.
Wasps 3 Upstarts 1 The first half saw Upstarts pressure their opponents' defence but it was Wasps who got on the scoreboard first.
This motivated Upstarts and Alan Farrell pulled them level, Martin Murphy providing a great cross. Then Murphy and Neil Carroll sealed Wasps' fate as they swiped bullets past the 'keeper to ensure a 3-1 win.
