The man said he picked up the woman, who was trying to get a ride on Princess Drive in Southampton, at 1.45 p.m.

He took the woman on his cycle to an area near the Railway Trail and dropped her off. She promised to return so he waited but she did not come back.

He then realised that a quantity of cash he had been carrying in his back pocket was missing. Active inquiries are underway.

THREE HOMES HIT CRM Three homes hit Three homes were visited in one day by thieves who took cash and jewellery.

Cash was stolen from an envelope on a night table in a White Hill, Sandys residence after a thief entered it through an insecure window.

Several items of jewellery were taken from a cedar box in a Longford Road, Warwick home which was entered forcibly.

And an envelope containing cash was taken from a Pearman's Road residence which was also forcibly entered.

Police are investigating all three of the incidents.

And a wallet was taken from an unsecured locker at the Coral Beach Club on Monday afternoon.

Thieves also took a laptop computer and a set of knives from an office at Four Ways Inn in Paget that same day.

The culprit broke into the home and searched through two bedrooms and took cash from both.

BAG SNATCHER FOILED CRM Bag snatcher foiled A bag snatcher sped away empty-handed after the intended victim foiled him by carrying the bag strung across her body.

The woman was walking alone on Park Road in Pembroke at 7 p.m. on Monday when a motorcyclist rode alongside her and tried to take the bag but failed.

PARKED CAR BROKEN INTO CRM Parked car broken into A thief removed a handbag from a locked car parked on Longford Hill in Warwick on Sunday sometime between 5.45 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

The handbag contained jewellery, credit cards and other personal items.
