Dockyard has had an influx of cruise ship passengers this week, while other areas on the Island continue to decline.

The Explorer of the Seas, which arrived from New Jersey at 8 a.m. on Saturday, brought 3,595 passengers to Dockyard before leaving at 5 p.m. that evening. Caribbean Princess, also berthed at King's Wharf in Dockyard, arrived from New York at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The cruise ship was carrying 3,438 passengers and left that same day at 4 p.m.

Grandeur of the Seas arrived at King's Wharf on Monday from Baltimore with 2,126 passengers. It was scheduled to leave the Island yesterday at 4 p.m.

Today at 8 a.m., the Norwegian Dawn will arrive in Dockyard carrying 2,863 passengers. The cruise ship, which arrived from New York, will stay until 5 p.m. on Friday. The only cruise ship to visit Hamilton this week will be the Norwegian Dream, arriving from Boston. The ship carrying 2007 passengers arrived at Penno's Wharf yesterday at noon and will stay until noon on Friday.

Ordnance Island in St. Georges' will also see one cruise ship this week. The Norwegian Majesty, which arrived from Baltimore on Monday at 2 p.m. plans to leave the Island tomorrow at 1 a.m.

The Oleander arrived on the Island on Sunday carrying 118 containers, including 49 refrigerated ones. The vessel also dropped of five road trailers, one mafif and two boats on cradles.

The Bermuda Islander will arrive tomorrow shortly after 8 a.m. from Salem, New Jersey. The vessel will drop off 144 containers, including 33 reefers, three open tops, two flatracks and a boat.
