Judge Vorley is delighted

the nine judges selecting the winning boats in this year's Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) Christmas boat parade.

Mr. Vorley was a judge at the BUEI Christmas boat parade, consisting of 63 boats, last year and was delighted to accept their invitation to participate as a judge again.

Last year's Red Dog owned by Geoffrey and Ashley Redmond was the overall winner.

He advised that last year's parade was the first of its kind and it was with some trepidation, in view of his complete lack of judicial experience, that he participated.

"It was a wonderful experience, thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the judging though difficult because of the many fine entries, seemed to meet the approval of the entries and the BUEI.

"We did our best and having been invited again I assume I passed the test.'' The effort put forward by all the entries was much appreciated and applauded by the numerous spectators.

"I congratulate BUEI for staging a repeat and larger performance this year! I look forward to a gala evening and, of course, the fireworks and the prize giving at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club,'' concluded Mr. Vorley.

More than 65 boats are expected to participate this year Saturday, December 18 in Hamilton Harbour beginning at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club at 6:30 p.m LLewellyn Vorley, former RBYC Commodore, one of the judges.
