The cake cutting marked the 100 year anniversary of the opening of the store, which originally located on Parson's Road. The St. John's Road operation has just recently had a sizeable increase in floor space with the building of a new addition.
The neighbourhood grocery now boasts some 2,500 square feet of selling space and additional storage capacity, all integrated into the original structure.
