Mangrove Bay Rd. from its location above Caesar's Pharmacy on Somerset Rd.
The building is opposite the Country Squire and Sandys Boat Club, and next to the Prince Alfred Lodge.
The move awaits planning permission to change the building's classification from retail to allow the lab's operations.
According to plans filed at the Planning Department, the lab will conduct "routine microbiology'' tests such as urinalysis and for sexually transmitted diseases. No patients will visit the lab as specimens will be collected from doctors' offices. The lab states its testing does not include diagnosis of communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, salmonella, or shingella.

General Manager Jeff Stirling said he could not comment about the move because Continental Motors is still in negotiations to buy the building from the Joell family. Continental holds the Peugeot franchise on the Island.
The company currently has its service garage on Hermitage Rd., Devonshire, and its showroom on North Shore Rd., Pembroke. Once Planning Department permission is received, both operations will move to the Hamilton location. The service garage will be located in the basement of the building, while the spare parts division and showroom will be located on the mezzanine level and the floor above.
