The Island?s network of retail florists is about to get smaller with the announcement the The Bermuda Florist located on South Shore Road will be closing down as of November 1.

In a letter to customers manager Teresa Medeiros said that the owners have decided to focus their efforts on running Brighton Nurseries, which is affiliated with the retail business. The intention is to expand the nursery and establish it as a full-service garden centre.

?We want to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for all the years that you chose us as your florist (and) we look forward to seeing you all at Brighton Nurseries,? said Ms Medeiros.
