Crisson?s on Queen Street is now expected to open tomorrow following extensive water damage caused by a burst pipe over the weekend. The store has been closed since Monday and a clean-up operation has been under way as staff prepare to reopen the store.

Peter Crisson, president of Crisson?s, said: ?I think there will be a lot of replacements and we are keeping a close eye on the situation. Repairs could be rather expensive but the longer term effects of the flooding will not become apparent until afterwards.?

The merchandise at the store was kept secure but staff will have to redisplay the merchandise.

The fixtures and fittings were soaked. Ceiling tiles have been removed and efforts have been made to dry out the shop area.
