Legay Farley, were recently promoted to Chief Inspector.

Chief Inspector Charles Mooney joined the Bermuda Police Service in 1974 and was first posted to Central Division but quickly moved on to a variety of responsibilities around the service.

As a constable he served in the Operations Department, Traffic, Training School and Driving School.

He was promoted to Sergeant in 1988, and then to inspector in 1997.

He continued his studies throughout these years, studying Business Administration and Accountancy, as well as completing the `Train the Trainers' course in Sussex, England.

He was also instrumental in introducing Diversity Training into the service.

Over this period Mr. Mooney provided valuable service to the training school where he has now resumed his role as Officer in Charge of all training.

Mr. Mooney is married to Anne Marie and has two children, Karyn and Kevin.

He is an avid football fan and was known as an intimidating striker in his heyday.

He has also represented the service in tennis and is currently an active golfer.

Chief Inspector Legay Farley joined the service in 1972 and was posted to the St. George's Uniform Section.

During this time he also served as the manager of the St. George's Police Recreation Club.

He soon moved to Hamilton and spent some time as the Parish Constable for Devonshire.

He commenced his work with CID in 1975, and gained a good reputation as an investigator.

Mr. Farley served with CID in east, west and central and also with narcotics, under whose direction he became one of three officers to form part of the joint Police and Customs importation squad.

Mr. Farley also continually updated his training, taking numerous investigators courses in England, Canada and Jamaica.

He was promoted to Detective Sergeant in 1981, and then to detective Inspector in 1993.

During this time he continued to head successful investigations with CID and narcotics.

He also spent considerable time with the Major Incident Room where he worked on several high profile murder investigations.

As Chief Inspector, Mr. Farley takes over command of central division.
